Vintage 99 Label Wine Pairing



A succulent filet mignon and a vintage 99 label wine go great together, making for a memorable meal. The rich flavors of the steak go well with the wine's notes, making a harmonious symphony for your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of Vintage 99 Label wine
  • 1 lb of filet mignon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400F 200C

Season the filet mignon with salt and pepper

Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat

Sear the filet mignon on each side for 2 minutes until browned

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare or until desired doneness

Remove the skillet from the oven and transfer the filet mignon to a plate

Let it rest for 5 minutes

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms

Saut until mushrooms are tender

Stir in butter and chopped parsley until butter is melted and ingredients are combined

Serve the filet mignon topped with the mushroom sauce alongside a glass of Vintage 99 Label wine
